Burning out….
So, I’m coming at you from the comfort of my bed, not only is it my resting zone but it’s also my lazy zone. Every so often I get these incredibly heavy, lazy few days, where I am just 100% burned out! Does this happen to you? I feel like it just has to happen to most of us because we live in such a fast paced world and we are just tired trying to keep up…yay or nay? The odd thing about this for me is that when my body is at its laziest, my noggin, however, is at its most active. It’s the time when my brain wants to be the most productive human being and I start getting all these ideas for stuff I want to do and what not, yet my body is like “no ma’am”.
I wonder, is this guilt? Is my brain trying to makeup for my body feeling like the yolk on a sunny side egg? I literally feel like that little Gudetama character. If you don’t know who it is, give it a little google search.
As I get older and wiser…cough cough* I like to dig into my psyche and try to psychoanalyze why I’m feeling a certain way or why do I react the way that I do to different experiences, scenarios etc. I guess it’s a bit of the latest trend wouldn’t you say? You know, a form of self care and what not.
After putting some thought into it, this was the wrap up...
I wish I had a simple solution to burnout and honestly maybe I kind of do. Just burn out, let your body do its thing and burn out, be the egg yolk, laze around. Easier said than done when we have responsibilities on the regular, I know, but burn out as much as you can when you can, give it a timeline, perhaps a few days. Yes, the mind will wonder and be incredibly active, so what, write down what you want to do eventually and set it aside. I think the main thought here and solution is to let your active brain know, “Hey yeah I’ll do that and that too, let me write it down, I’m going to do it…EVENTUALLY” but also let your body know “Hey we are burnt out, lets lay in bed all day, let‘s skip the shower, lets skip cooking, let’s order in. It’s okay we are burning out, let’s let it run its course. What do you think?
Ok bye.
